Frequently Asked Questions

What do you do with the original documents?

We can deliver original documentation back to you, to a location of your choice, or destroy them and issue a destruction certificate. Alternatively we can arrange secure short, medium or long term storage.

Can I get the images and data you produce into my document management system?

CDS Global can upload the data into any document management system.

What if I need to access documents that are being processed by CDS Global?

Should it become necessary for you to gain access to a file in our possession for scanning, we provide an SOS file return service. We can deliver the file back to you within the hour if required or a standard 24 hour response depending on the urgency. All security checks will need to be adhered to and only when authorisation has been approved will we release the data back you.

What about when my documents are in transit?

All collection and return trips are point-to-point, ensuring that only your documents will be contained within the vehicle and guaranteeing no scheduled stops for refuelling or breaks will occur during transit. This further minimises risk by ensuring that your documentation will be on a direct route to our secure bureau following collection.

Are Staff CRB checked?

All employees are subject to an Enhanced Disclosure where employees applications are subject to an additional check by local police forces. We fundamentally believe in transparency of our staff and all CRB checks are made available, subject to the necessary guidelines on disclosure as stipulated by the Data Protection Acts and Information Commissioners Office.

What fire prevention and precaution measures are in place at the bureau?

Managing fire safety is a daily part of our business. Risk assessments are reviewed regularly to ensure that precautions are working effectively.

Fire extinguishing systems are integrated into our fire detection and alarm systems, designed to ensure rapid knockdown by flooding the area of a fire with the appropriate agent. This includes gaseous agents to inert gases, foams, powder, CO2 or water mist.

Our systems have dedicated remote fire and security monitoring 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

How secure is the CDS Global Records Management Centre?

CDS Global is protected by 24/7 security systems, our premises are highly secure offering our clients peace of mind.
